SLCTV To Televise Candidate Forum For November Election

The public is invited to be a part of the live studio audience for “Decision 2010″ – a candidate forum for the Nov. 2 General Election – on Thursday, Oct. 14 starting at 10 a.m. in the St. Lucie County Commission Chambers.
Organized and coordinated by the St. Lucie County League of Women Voters, WPSL 1590 AM and SLCTV (St. Lucie County’s government access channel), the forum will feature candidates for the St. Lucie County School Board Districts 1 and 3; St. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners Districts 2 and 4; Port St. Lucie City Council Mayor and Districts 1 and 3; St. Lucie County Property Appraiser and State Representative District 81 and other races.
“Decision 2010″ with the candidates will take place on Thursday, Oct. 14, starting at 10 a.m. in the St. Lucie County Commission Chambers of the Roger Poitras Administration Building, 2300 Virginia Ave., Fort Pierce. WPSL 1590 AM’s Carol Wyatt will serve as the moderator for this event. Part two of “Decision 2010″ will be taped Thursday, Oct. 21, starting at 9 a.m. in the Commission Chambers and will feature the various state constitutional amendments and local referendums that will be on the Nov. 2 ballot with speakers offering the pros and cons for each initiative. The forums will not be televised live, but be replayed on SLCTV (Comcast 21), starting Sunday, Oct. 17 at 7 p.m. The program will air Sundays at 7 p.m., Mondays at 3 p.m., Wednesdays at 2 a.m., Fridays at 6 p.m. and Saturdays at 10 a.m. up until the Nov.2 election.
Additionally, “Decision 2010″ will be broadcast on WPSL 1590 AM, PSLTV (Comcast 20) and FPTV (Comcast 27). Check local listings for airtimes. The forum will also be posted for viewing on SLCTV’s website www.stlucieco.gov/slctv under the Video on Demand section.
The General Election will be held Tuesday, Nov. 2. Early voting takes place Oct. 18 – 30 at four locations in St. Lucie County.
