Celebrate Parks and Recreation Month

July is the month our nation officially recognizes Park and Recreation month, and there is no more beautiful city in which to celebrate parks than Port St. Lucie.
In a proclamation officially naming July Parks and Recreation month in the state of Florida, Gov. Charlie Crist noted “…parks and recreation programs enhance our quality of life by contributing to a healthy lifestyle, increasing communication skills, building self-esteem, teaching life skills and providing places for enjoyment…”.
Gov. Crist also proclaimed that “parks and recreation programs boost the economy, enhance property values, attract new business, increase tourism and reduce crime…”.
With almost 40 parks in the city, there is a place to enjoy nature, sports and recreation for everyone.
