The Port St. Lucie Parks and Recreation Department is proud to invite the community and visitors alike to Freedomfest 2010, scheduled for Saturday, July 3, beginning at 2 p.m., at the Port St. Lucie Civic Center.
Spectators in Village Square will be delighted with this all-day event, which will include a wide variety of music, food and activities for all ages. Live entertainment will be performed by SOLID*GOLD Music (visit www.solidgoldmusic.com) and local children’s groups. Village Square will be hopping with bounce houses, arts and crafts vendors, free face painting, caricature drawings, a balloon artist and more.
Inside the Civic Center, families will find a Kid Zone in the gymnasium, along with a Sports Carnival.
No 4th of July celebration is complete without fireworks, and this year will be no exception. At 9 p.m., as long as the weather cooperates, spectators will be dazzled by the area’s largest fireworks display lighting up the night sky, followed by a dance contest in Village Square.
A family-friendly celebration in Port St. Lucie for more than 20 years, Freedomfest will consist of a full day of food, fun and good old-fashioned Independence Day spirit for everyone. Best of all, admission and parking are free.
Sponsors and vendors, don’t miss out on the opportunity to be a part of this great event. Registration packets may be downloaded at www.cityofpsl.com.
