Runners Big And Little Can Race To The Finish At PSL Civic Center

The Port St. Lucie Civic Center will welcome the new season with its second 5K Spring Chicken Run/Walk for ages 13 and up. On the same day, the Chicken Little Run/Walk will take place, with a ½ K for ages 3 to 7 and a 1K for ages 8 to 12. The races will be held on Saturday, March 27, beginning at 8 a.m., with registration and check-in at 6:30 a.m.
The 5K race begins and ends at the Civic Center, with part of the race taking place on the beautiful Woodstork Trail.
If paid on or before Friday, March 19, the registration fee for the Spring Chicken Run/Walk is $15. From Saturday, March 20 to Friday, March 26, the fee is $20 and on the day of the race, the registration fee is $25.
For the Chicken Little races, the registration fee, if paid on or before Friday, March 26, is $5. On the day of the race, the registration fee is $8. All fees are payable by cash, check or credit card.
Dr. Mark Lesin, a Port St. Lucie chiropractor, has donated t-shirts for the first 100 children who register for the Chicken Little Run/Walk. The first 200 people who register for the Spring Chicken Run/Walk (13 and older) will receive a Spring Chicken Run t-shirt.
Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each age group and overall male and female categories.
There will also be a bounce house and corn toss game the morning of the race, so bring the whole family out for this fun event.
The race will take place rain or shine and will only be delayed or canceled in the event of lightning.
