If Port St. Lucie’s week-long summer camp sessions don’t meet your family’s needs, perhaps two-day per week camps are just what you’re looking for.
Registration is taking place now for children ages 6 to 11, who can still get the experience of supervised games, sports, crafts and field trips in these fun-filled Parks and Recreation programs. One camp session takes place from 9:30 a.m. to noon on Mondays and Wednesdays, beginning Monday, June 21 through Wednesday, July 28. In the alternative, day camp sessions are also available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from Tuesday, June 22 through Thursday, July 29 from 9:30 a.m. to noon. The total cost for each camp program is $51 per child.
The Monday and Wednesday camp will take place at Whispering Pines Park, 800 S.W. Darwin Blvd. The Tuesday and Thursday camp will take place at Jessica Clinton Park, 3200 S.E. Southbend Blvd.
Five-year old children may also attend if a parent or guardian provides proof (through a report card or progress report) that the child has completed kindergarten.
Space is limited at these popular camps, so pre-registration is required. A copy of the child’s birth certificate is required at the time of registration, and space cannot be reserved by phone. Register in person at the Port St. Lucie Community Center, 2195 S.E. Airoso Blvd. Registration will begin on Monday, March 1 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and is available seven days a week.
