Florida’s Certified Pile Burner Training

On Wednesday, March 10, The Florida Division of Forestry and University of Florida/ IFAS St. Lucie County Cooperative Extension Office will be conducting a Certified Pile Burners Course.  This course will show you how to burn piles legally, safely and efficiently.

If you burn piles regularly, don’t put off registering for this training. When the weather is dry, certified pile burners will receive priority for authorization to burn. Also, certified pile burners are allowed to burn up to two hours longer per day and get multiple day authorizations.  For more information about the Certified Pile Burner Course, please contact Ed Skvarch or Tim Gaver at (772) 462-1660.

When: Wednesday, March 10, 2010
Time: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Where: Indian River Research and Education Center
2199 South Rock Road, Fort Pierce
Registration:   (772) 462-1660
Registration Fee:  $50 (Space is limited)

There will be a seven-day non refundable fee limit. If you do not make the training and did not contact the office at least one week before the class, you will not receive a refund.
